Men’s Wigs in Burlington

Men’s Wigs in Burlington

You might be surprised at the number of men’s wigs in Burlington. That’s because they look so natural. As a man, you may have had to deal with the stigma of thinning hair dating back to your high school years. The teasing is bad enough, but studies have shown that men with a full head of hair tend to advance more in their jobs than men with thinning hair. This could be attributed to social stigma, or simply to the idea that a man with thin hair, or who is completely bald, doesn’t have the confidence to pursue advancement. Hair pieces and human hair wigs, however, can change all of that for you.

Where to Find Men’s Wigs

In Burlington, men’s wigs are available at Wig-A-Do. Here, you’ll find the finest quality human hair wigs, synthetic wigs, and natural wigs on the market. In addition, you’ll learn that many men in this area opt for the convenience of wearing wigs and hair pieces.

Perfect Fit

The key to a natural looking wig is not only quality construction, but a perfect fit. At Wig-A-Do, you’ll have your own stylist who will custom fit your wig or hair piece. This kind of service is crucial to a natural look. And yes, even men need a stylist! Your stylist can analyze the shape of your face, and recommend hair styles that would be the best good looking.

Men’s Wig Styles

For men, especially, you’ll want to consider your lifestyle when purchasing hair pieces. If you are a businessman who prefers to look tailored and trim, you may prefer the combed back look, or a retro part. The combed back look is kind of a classic men’s style, and can be accomplished with a dab of mousse or gel. And, this can be done with a real human hair wig. That’s because human hair wigs can be washed just like your own hair, and styled, too. The retro part harkens back to Clark Gable, with a part above the outer corner of either eye. The sides will be somewhat shorter over your ears. The top, if it is combed up just a little bit before it is combed over, will give a slightly modern look to the cut. Believe it or not, these styles can look perfectly natural with men’s wigs or hair pieces. In the “old days”, any wig had to be styled to cover the hairline. That was to keep the edge of the wig covered. However, with a high quality wig and a skilled stylist, you can wear just about any style.

Younger men who encounter male pattern baldness or have a medical condition or medications that cause their hair to fall out, may like the “brushed down” look. In addition, older men who are somewhat fit and active look good with this, as well. The brushed down look has a fuller cut on the top, front, and upper sides. Across the back, the hair is shorter. With style, the hair is all brushed forward, with the effect of directing the eye toward the face.

One very successful hair style in men’s wigs is the “thrown back” style. This is still a shorter style on the ears and neck. The hair on top is longer, and is usually one length. With this style, you hint at a part on one side or the other. With a little gel, you can finger the hair back. It’s a slightly messy look that is very handsome on a man with the comfort level to go with it. Think “Rock-A-Billy” with this hair style.

The laid back look is similar to the thrown back style. This is one of the longer hair styles in men’s wigs. If you comb the hair of this wig straight down, it would reach the middle of your ear-lobes. It will also reach the collar of a shirt. With this style, as well as with the thrown back style, you can just moisten your fingers with styling gel and run it through the hair. You’ll want to pull it a little bit to keep it from looking flat.

Synthetic Wigs

Synthetic wigs can also look very natural. However, once you select a style with a synthetic wig, you pretty much have to keep that one style. Synthetic hair cannot be restyled. It can be cut, but it can’t be chemically treated. That means it can’t be dyed, permed, or straightened. Synthetic hair can make a very natural wig, but won’t last as long as a human hair wig.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are not just for teen girls looking for a streak of fuchsia in their hair for a party. Hair extensions can be any length you want, and it is perfectly reasonable to consider “beefing” up your shorter hair style with judicious use of extensions. If you have hair, but want it to look thicker, hair extensions may be the way to go.

Use And Care Of Men’s Wigs

In addition, your stylist will show you how to put your wig or hair piece on, for a flawless look. You’ll also be instructed on how to take care of your hair piece in order to extend the life of the piece. Human hair wigs have the most natural look and if you take care of them, they’ll last for years. Furthermore, with wigs made out of human hair, they can be chemically treated for a new look. For example, you can have the color changed, or perm or straighten it.

Private Fittings

Purchasing men’s wigs can be a very personal experience, and Wig-A-Do is well aware of that fact. Therefore, you can take advantage of their private fitting rooms and personal stylists. The privacy will help you to relax, and the stylist will help you to decide whether you want a full, men’s wig or a hair piece. She’ll also show you how to take care of your wig, so that it lasts a long time and looks great all of the time.
